Hand Carved Log Bear Bed
Our Hand Carved Log Bear Beds are made in traditional spindle design
- each made from lodge pole pine from the mountains
of Colorado. There are 2 hand carved bears
in each headboard post and 1 hand carved bear
in each footboard post. Each bear is painted
to accentuate the bed and the fine details of
the carving (note the bears backside in the headboard). The
bed is assembled using mortise and tenon joinery
that provides a solid and secure feeling when
you climb in. The lodge pole pine is sealed
with a satin lacquer finish to give years of
protection. Bed dimensions are measured
outside to outside, and may vary due to log size. The
bed posts are made with 5" - 6" logs.
