Real or Faux Antler Chandeliers

We offer two categories of antler light fixtures: Real antlers (Authentic Antlers) and faux antlers (Reproductions Antlers). Our real antlers are naturally-shed, authentic deer and elk antlers that are collected each fall from live animals. No animals are hurt during this process. Each chandelier is as unique as the animals that the antlers are from. They are carefully crafted to hang straight and create a natural look.

Our reproduction antler chandeliers are half the cost of authentic antler lighting, and this faux antler collection is made with reproductions of Whitetail or Mule Deer, Elk, or Moose antlers. Faux antler lighting fixtures are lightweight and durable, allowing them to be hung in places genuine antler lighting could not go. Meticulous care has been taken with each antler to ensure the authentic look of natural antlers. All antlers have been individually hand-finished, with the wiring run inside of the antlers to make them impossible to see. Our faux antler lighting looks so natural that your guests will never know they are not real — add some rustic style to your home with one of our antler chandeliers or light fixtures today!

Antler Lighting FAQs

What are the differences between antler types?

Mule deer antlers are the most common type of antlers you’ll see and are typically brown in color. They’re more elongated and have a gentler curve than whitetail deer antlers, which have a sharper curve and are lighter in color. Elk antlers are a brownish red and usually much longer and straighter than both deer antler types we use. Moose antlers are very distinct due to their “webbed” or flat appearance and dark brown color, primarily used in larger light fixtures.

How is faux or reproduction antler decor made?

More lightweight and durable than real antlers, our faux antlers are detailed reproductions of the real thing. To make them, a precise silicone mold modeled after real antlers is used to create the shape out of high-quality resin. The final product is hand-stained and finished to create the most authentic look possible.

Where should I hang my antler chandelier?

This question largely depends on the size of the chandelier, but common placements include entryways, above dining tables, or above living room couches. We generally recommend having at least 8 feet between the floor to the bottom of the chandelier, with at least 1 foot of exposed chain between the ceiling and the top of the chandelier.
